Cruisin' Fuerte!

We made plans to visit Troy's friends here in Fuerteventura, but also to link up with Mary's good friend, Aida.  She was going to cruise with us on the island and later put us up in her flat on the island of Gran Canaria.  The first morning we were all together, we decided to get the most out of the rental car with a sick tour of some of the amazing surroundings.  This place is magical.  So many cool colors, fresh air, prime water, tons of different landscapes and rocks...

Directly across the way from the beach we hit the day before are some rad dunes.  We shuffled our way out there for some good laughs.  Troy also rolled down the one of the dunes like a fuckin' mad man! He starts going down straight then veers off to the sides.... Super funny!

We piled in the car with Troy at the wheel, Mary on the map, me dancing in the back, and Aida to sing her ass off!  We were BUMPING the Spanish radio stations... Aida sang nearly every single song as loud as she could.  Hahah!!  How she knew EVERY song was beyond all of us... Even all the English songs!!  A song would come on, she'd freak out!!! "Me encanta!!!" and start belting out the lyrics perfect! Well done Aida!

We made it to this amazing lookout and had a little chill moment.  Troy and I realized the little road we could see in front of us was obviously the downhill road we were on, so we bombed the SHIT out of it! It was SO SICK.  It took like a solid 5 full minutes.  That's one of the best feelings in the world; moving forward effortlessly, with the wind blowing in your face and the sun beaming down.  Moving fast but in full control.  Experience that somehow.

When you hear the saying, "Take the road less travelled", ask Troy to drive.  He smashed down this dirt road so gnarly... It was tight.. We ended up at these little broken walls that were once a house maybe, filled with cabra bones.  The goat, or cabra, is the staple of the island.

Then we rolled up to this...

We kept moving..

This football field was so rad... boundary lines with rocks.

Troy and I wanted to shred so we made our way over to Puerto del Rosario skatepark and met up with Aaron and Javi.  There were a bunch of kids there asking me how to do tricks and what bands I like and stuff.  They were super cool!  I threw down some maneuvers and got some footy on some ipods.  Everyone was hyped up which was so rad..

We rolled back to Javi's to create the feast we had been working up to all day, paella.  This dish is incredible! Squid, prawns, mussels, rice, tomato sauce, and I don't even know what else.  Maryjane hooked us up so fat!  Amazing....

Thank you Mary!!!

Then we went out for some drinks and dancing! We were killin' it!! Troy was crushing the dance floor!  Just starts freaking out on the dance floor!!! ahahahh!!  Yea dogg!!!!

The ladies wished El Capitan a good night and that was a day.
